East of Theresa, 185 customers faced a similar fate, with power expected to be restored by 10 pm. And the wind advisory for Friday night predicts gusts up to 50 mph, a potential recipe for more outages.
St. Lawrence County wasn't spared either. As of 8 pm Friday, 800 customers in the Gouverneur, Canton, and Potsdam areas were without power. The utility company estimates that it might take until 11:30 pm to fix these outages.
